Who We Are And Why We're Here
From burnout and debt to financial resilience and freedom.
We’re Tim & Carmela—and this is our experiment in designing a life you don’t have to escape from.
Our Mission
We help burned-out freelancers, nomads, and freedom-seekers build dividend income streams to decouple time from money.
So you can stop deferring your life and start living on your own terms.
Make work optional.
Our Story
We didn’t come from money—or even from families that understood it.
Tim grew up in poverty on a farm in rural Colorado, then bounced through foster care before finding more stability with his grandparents. From an early age, he learned that if he wanted freedom, he’d have to build it himself. His brain was always wired for patterns—seeing what others missed, questioning what others took for granted.
Carmela grew up in a different kind of chaos: a high-achieving, work-obsessed dad who valued image and spending, and a fearful mom who deferred life in the hope it would all work out later. She learned to be independent early, but also to equate survival with overworking and trying to be “good enough.” She burned out spectacularly—first in college, then in her “great” federal job that felt like another prison.
We both tried all the usual escapes: side hustles, online businesses, selling, flipping, stocks, high-ticket courses, crypto. If it existed, we tried it—and we lost a lot of money and a lot of peace in the process.
Somewhere between the endless hustle and the joyful moments hiking in nature, we started asking:
- What if freedom didn’t have to look like this?
- What if we could build an income system that worked even when we weren’t grinding 24/7?
When we finally discovered the power of dividends—real monthly income, not hypothetical paper gains—it clicked. For Tim, it became a natural extension of his love of data and patterns. For Carmela, it was the first approach that felt aligned, sustainable, and freeing.
So we started over. We scaled. We bought a van and sold almost everything to become nomadic explorers.
And we’re still here—testing, iterating, and proving you don’t have to defer living to build real freedom.
It isn’t about deprivation—it’s about intentional living.
About Tim
INTJ – The Strategic Oracle
I grew up with almost nothing. Poverty and abuse teaches you two things: resilience and skepticism. You don’t get to trust the system blindly when you see how it fails people over and over.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve had an innate ability to spot patterns and what they mean—macro trends, cycles, the hidden signals under the noise. My college background in public policy and political science taught me how easily information can be manipulated—and how to see through it.
Investing is a way for me to create stability on my own terms. A way to build a simpler life, closer to nature, where I don’t have to answer to anyone. That’s all I really want: the freedom to truly live, away from the chaos.

About Carmela
ISTP – The Systems Synthesizer
I was always the wild child—restless, questioning, unwilling to just do what I was told. But I also learned to survive by working harder than everyone else. By the time I was in my 20s, I was so burned out I didn’t even recognize myself.
I tried everything to escape the grind—startups, Etsy shops, day trading, flipping, you name it. Most of it failed. And honestly, I’m glad it did. Because it forced me to get clear about what freedom actually means to me.
Over the years, I discovered that I see the world in principles and frameworks that repeat across disciplines—finance, mechanics, human/animal behavior—and distill them into practical systems. My obsession with MBTI taught me that no one-size-fits-all solution exists. Your strategy has to fit who you are.
Today, my mission is to help others break the cycle of burnout and build something that actually feels like living.

Our Approach
We’re not here to sell you hype or pretend this is easy. It isn’t.
We believe:
Your money should always be making money.
You can use dividends, value investing, and strategic flywheels to build monthly income streams.
You don’t have to defer living until retirement.
You should question everything—especially the “safe” advice.
Experimentation and iteration are essential.
Freedom isn’t about money—it’s about reclaiming your time.
We live what we teach. From a van. With three cats. And no plan to ever go back.
